Cutting a hanging rail - how?!

How do I go about cutting something like this to size? What tools would I need other than a tape measure? www.ironmongerydirect.co.uk/products/cabinet_furniture_and_hardware/hanging_rails_and_systems/10776/30_x_15mm_oval_steel_tube/231749
Would anywhere I could go to do this for me?!

Just use a metal hacksaw, those type of poles are easy to cut.

The best thing to use is a small junior hacksaw that they sell in most DIY stores or cheapie shops that have a diy section. When you start cutting it the blade will slip about until you get it going. You could try putting a bit of tape round it with the bit you need to cut being under the tape so when you start sawing it will grip into the tape and not slip so much.
Hope that helps
