That has a dormer, does one paint the angled/sloped ceiling the same colour as the wall or the same colour as the ceiling (white!)

DH is sure it should be the same colour as the wall
I (was) sure it should be the same colour as the ceiling!

I think it depends on the slope angle to be far. It is more ceiling or more wall looking?!

HollyMaingate · 06/07/2016 16:20

That's a good point, here's a photo:

The bit with the windows in? Definitely looks wall to me

sweetheart · 06/07/2016 16:23

I agree that is more wall than ceiling

Patterkiller · 06/07/2016 16:27

Wall definitely

HollyMaingate · 06/07/2016 16:33

Thanks - I'll never hear the end of this!

Yeah, wall :-)

wowfudge · 06/07/2016 18:50

Another vote for wall.

NoCapes · 06/07/2016 18:51

Yep it's the wall

PigletJohn · 06/07/2016 20:13

put a picture rail on it, then you can paint above as ceiling, below as wall.

However you will not be able to hang any pictures on it.

We has this dilemma

Our ceilings were rolled into the sloping bit and there was.no crisp line (if that make sense so.we went with ceiling)

Itnlooks.as though you have a crisp edge though.

But if you paint it as part of the ceiling, the room will look lighter. I'd be tempted to treat that slope like the ceiling... but I am in the middle of doing that in our bathroom, which needs the light.

One bedroom will also have slope as ceiling and the other as wall as that would look better... so maybe you can ignore me Smile

HollyMaingate · 06/07/2016 21:03

Yes makes perfect sense - ours actually 'rolls' the other way, so crisp line at the ceiling but curved where it meets the vertical walk which I guess points even more towards counting it as a wall.

Thanks for all the replies

Paint ceiling and walls the same colour - simples Grin

Lighteningirll · 07/07/2016 08:39

Ceiling colour definitely it will make the room lighter

ladypie21 · 07/07/2016 09:01

Ours looks very similar to yours and I was adamant that it should be ceiling however after lots of research and photoshopping we've gone for wall and it does look better. I read that doing it in ceiling colour will make the ceiling appear lower?

Lighteningirll · 07/07/2016 09:25

Sorry I meant the same white as the ceiling NOT a fuchsia pink ceiling Grin

perfecteyebrow · 08/07/2016 09:36

I would paint it all a very light colour as breaking it up into wall and ceiling will 1/ be a lot of extra work 2/ bring the ceiling down lower
