Is it too expensive?

We (family of 4) have just bought a townhouse with one family bathroom on the first floor and ensuite bathroom on the second floor. We don't really like the ensuite bathroom and think that another family bathroom will work better for our needs.
So I am thinking to close the wall in the master bedroom and create a door to the bathroom from the landing ( as in existing bathroom on the first floor).
I was quoted £1000.00 to do this job. It will include moving the radiator and "cut and cap off pipes below floor level" and " cut off floor to expose central heating pipes" sort of jobs.
Just wonder is it a reasonable price or is it too high? We are in SW London.

£1k to make good the existing door way including skirting board and plastering? Move a radiation and put in a new door and make good?

Sounds reasonable to me.
