Sold our 2 bed house 2 days after it went on the market in early May. Decent price and to FTBs.
We offered on a property which we thought needed a bit of work a few weeks later but subsequently pulled out post survey as there were far too many issues for us to deal with which weren't apparent on viewings (damp, new roof, new windows, structural issues etc!)
We've found somewhere else, a 1920s semi which has been fully refurbed and have had an offer accepted but after going back to see it yesterday, I'm having serious doubts.
My main concern is the size, the downstairs isn't much bigger than what we have now and the entrance needs some reconfiguration to make it livable BUT it's on a generous sized plot, big garden etc so there is potential to extend in time and it's in a great location close to very good school (have an 11m old DS). The sole bathroom upstairs is also very small but again I guess we could add a downstairs shower room/utility with the extension when the time comes.
This is causing huge tension with DH as he is very keen to go ahead. We live in an expensive area in the South East and our budget can't get us when we need space wise so I know compromises need to be made. It's just such a huge decision and I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed by it all.
Help!
