Another Stiffkey Farrow and Ball question

A recently painted wood panel had got slightly chipped so needed to be retouched in a couple of (tiny) places. The paint was stirred so mixed appropriately but the repair spots are a completely different shade to the rest of the panel. What have I done wrong and how can I fix it, short of repainting the entire panel?

I'm afraid not much. I've had this with F & B before. It's not great for touching up. You'll have to refresh the whole panel I think.

Thanks Ybird. I really don't understand this. It all seems a bit random but I will
a) get the paint brushes out next weekend and redo the panel
b) not bother with farrow and ball again.

Really appreciate your reply
