any boiler experts around?

We've just bought a house and the boiler in is a 'Sime Friendly Format 100E' boiler, the heating works okay but the hot water is failing all the time, we have to go and reset the pilot light 3/4 times while washing the dishes and even more when running a bath.

The only settings I can see are a sun, a snowflake and a flame (pilot light reset) the heating doesn't work while the sun setting is on but the hot water flakes out with both settings.

Can anyone shed any light?

Have you googled for the manual?

Yeah I've had a look but couldn't make much sense of it. I'm not 100% sure it was the right one actually.
