Just wondered whether anyone has tried one of these type of suspended decorative extractors elica.com/GB-en/products/hoods/diva ? They look like a good solution for an island hob - although I haven't looked at the price yet!

Make sure you are near a chair when you find out the price !!!

Shock are we talking more than the £2k I've been quoted for a Westin ceiling extractor??

I have the celestial. It is beautiful and give a good focus light on to the cooker. It isn't the best 'extractor' but I don't do lots of smelly cooking, so that isn't a problem.
I would buy it again.

The key driver for me changing my kitchen is that the moronic developers put the cooker hood in the wrong place. I can't use the island worktop or hob without banging my head.
I'm only 5'7".
It drives me insane.

Might be worth replacing a low hood for a flush or in a small bulkhead type ceiling one ?
