Places to live around Ollerton/Newark/Worksop

Currently researching for a friend!

Will be working in Ollerton and as easy a commute as poss. Also wants to be near a train line or other public transport.

Wants 3 bed house, pref with larger garden/outdoor space. 2 children currently year 1 and 3.

Any places to recommend as a start for a search, or avoid? Thanks.

I have a friend who lives in the area.

I'd try Newark or Retford, both easily commutable and they are on the east coast mainline. Not Worksop.
