I don't think there is a shortcut answer but thought I'd throw it out there....
I have a new house with an open staircase - side drop opens onto ceramic tiles floor. With 2 children incl a toddler I can't move in as it is.
The landing cuts across about 2/3 way up and it turns a corner. So it's a triangular open side.
I am finding it impossible to get a carpenter to build a stair rail. Of 9 calls Fri, 1 is going to quote but can't do work for a while.
I'll keep calling tomorrow but does anyone have a short term solution I'm missing?
I'm very very keen to move in.
