We are on a budget but I really like the look of gold coffee and side tables

I've seen this White metal one in ikea and wonder if it would be as easy as spray painting IT gold - or would it need to be sanded or primed first?

Many thanks Grin

Is the glass top removable? If so I'm sure you could.

But I personally think this is the wrong style of table to paint gold. It's too modern.

You need to think about drips and residual spray. I would imagine you need to key it first and use a specialist spray. I think it could look quite cheap though. Look on gumtree?

I've just painted some gold metal objects white with car spray paint from the Range. Worked really well. They also sell spray primer I'd, unlike me, you want to do it properly!

Whoops, if not I'd.

I used Hammerite paint from the tin to change some curtain pole finials from red to silver. Worked really well, no primer, but two coats. I found the paint in the tin easier to use than the spray.

I fine sanded first.
