Quartz kitchen worktop

Has anyone heard of Konig Stone quartz? Have heart set on Silestone but kitchen supplier has suggested KS which is a third cheaper (would be fitted by same fabricator who seem bona fide but only seem to advertise SS on their website). Ss comes with 10 yr warranty and KS has 15 years.

I have read that you're paying for Silestone branding somewhat but also that their customer service is excellent.

Can't find any mention of KS online which makes me suspicious but saving is ££££s!!
I've seen the samples of both in the shop but in this day and age off Google I feel like I need to read about something as it's still a great deal of cash.

Thank you!

Hi
I've been quoted for a konig worktop and i wondered if you went with one in the end? My price is NOT 0000's cheaper

Hi,

I have also just been quoted for a Konig worktop. Can’t find any info on it anywhere...

Luna stone is an alternative to silestone which has been recommended here previously and much cheaper. You can buy direct from the manufacturer and they fit it nationwide: www.quartzworktopsdirect.com/quartz-and-granite-worktops/

My neighbour has silestone which she scrubs every day as it stains easily.

Thanks, will check it out.

It must be the new thing! My friend is having a konig worktop too. Hadn't come across it before and we did our kitchen last year.

That’s interesting. The place we are buying our cabinets from is suggesting konig, and they are a family company which seems quite reliable, with good customer service, which I know isn’t a guarantee of quality but they do seem to think about their products.

No heard of Kong but I have Caesarstone....it's great.

There are a lot of pseudo stone worktops around - what you are paying for is not just the quality of the stone but the back-up service - so if your worktop develops a fault or needs a repair in 5 years time the company will still be around to deal with it - no use offering 15 year warranty when they have disappeared in 3 years

We’ve used konigstone for over 10 years (we do bespoke kitchens) and had their calacatta worktop fitted in our own kitchen last year so I definitely recommend them! We also use Silestone but find the two are equal quality- we’ve never had any problems and our sales team suggest ks so customers can spend the difference on upgraded appliances!
