life hacks / gadgets please !

What amazing gadgets / life hacks have you got in your kitchen or utility room?
Like a place to leave odd socks or a cling film dispenser that actually works , or a shelf for empty clothes baskets, etc ??
( put this on chat but was tumble weed tastic so thought you guys might give more of shit!)

I've been wanting to put a post like this haha! I do have a sock basket for odd socks wich is amazing!!! Haha best gadgets I couldn't live without are: Dyson cordless hoover!!! Dishwasher, dishwasher sprayer tap, karcher window vac (brilliant for Windows, tiles, shower screen, worktops, top of oven anything else you want shiny and streak free!) My nest heating thermostat!!! OK I'm a gadget freak haha!! I do like my tech one thing I don't yet own is a tumble dryer though:(

What is this Windows and tiles gadget you speak of? A lot of people have said the dishwasher tap is that the Bendy tap you get in professional kitchens??

Its brillaint!! I got it on offer from argos for 35 :) Yeah it's one tall springy tap so I don't have a hot and cold tap I have a handle that changes the temperature and also the power :)

I have something like this other ideas

Robot Hoover
Window vac
Hook rack for hanging mop/brooms etc
Small billy bookcase to stack mop buckets/sink dish so each has its own shelf wasteful but billy was at a loose end
A basket each for dusters, bin bags, Hoover attachments, candles loss of power common! etc that all sit pretty on a highish shelf
Oak tall boy that houses cat food, bowls, diy stuff
Old ottoman for garden boots/wellies - IKEA blue bags inside to line it
Seperate cupboard for Henry as I got sick of his hose turfing everything out!
Want a 'pull out garage' for toaster etc but not gona happen so they are on trays in the cupboard
Washing powder and conditioner in kilner jars

I have a cubboard in my utility room that's warm from the UFH pipes, it has a rail where I hang all ironed clothes for family members to put away. It's ace.

I've found my kettle tap fantastic.

I'm after a new vac so will look at the cordless the cylinder one I have must be commercial with an extra long hose and cord and it's always a pain to get tidied away.

A £2 thing with pegs on that goes on the washing line. Means you can bring the socks in quickly when it rains.

Plastic tubs with lids in a big pack. Freezer to microwave to dishwasher and round again for ages. No cling film, no tin foil.

Not so much just kitchen and utility but

irobot vacuum cleaner
Sonos (with Amazon prime best thing ever)
Nest thermostat (no coming back to a cold house)
Rotaire covered wurly-wig washing line so you can just hang up your washing to dry and not worry about the rain.

Washing theme going on here...retractable washing lines in the garden. Hate seeing washing poles/lines when not in use. Hooks on various things so I can stalk the sun at various times of the day my life is sad

See things like this are soooooo exciting . The order of it all ..... feels a sense of control so usually out of reach

I have my washing machine in a large cupboard and on the inside of the door I have a fabric door hanging organiser with lots of pockets... All the bottles of detergent, dosing balls etc go on the pockets. Tis fab.

I also have the KVISSLE letter tray from Ikea in the kitchen as a place to put all that mail and paperwork which hangs around.

Will see if I can think if others

I berated everyone for being consumerist sheep and then purchased a Karcher window vac and a Brabantia rotary dryer.

I've Kondo'd my clothes where sensible using small plastic boxes for each sort, leaving the sections between for other sorts.
Variera shelves from IKEA for kitchen cupboards and Skubb boxes for lighter items.
I also have bathroom caddies in each bathroom which hold toilet rolls and cleaning products.

X posts so I need to mention I also have a Karcher and a steam mop.....

I fold my socks the Tony Imbruglia way (sorry can't link but 1 min 30 - 2 min 10 of the video on YouTube - only takes seconds though) and have a set of Alex drawers from IKEA office dept - they are just the right height and the socks look like little soldiers standing in a row!

I now fold DH t shirts the Kondo way and the IKEA clear plastic tubs with lids are the perfect width/height to hold 8-10 and 4 tubs go in his drawers his socks would be unappreciated folded though

Tights are rolled and stored upright in a shoe box (some with an elastic band round to stop them unravelling)

Earrings in a craft embellishment storage box (earring sized compartments, 18 to a small tub £2.50!)

Bangles, belts etc in the square/rectangle Skubb IKEA material boxes

Bedding tucked inside pillow case, fitted sheets now folded like a pro
