Moving to another county

As i don't like Northamptonshire I would like to ask if there is a good and affordable place to live with children, where there are good schools and things to do. Not too far from the south east would be an advantage.
I heard of Sandy( Bedfordshire, but still not sure as I don know anywhere in Bedfordshire apart from Luton and Dunstable)
Could anyone help?

more details needed ..... what jobs do you do? whats the budget for buying or renting? age of children? any particular hobbies? do you drive? village/town/city/coast

Actually I think parts of Northamptonshire are beautiful. If there is nowhere in the whole of Northamptonshire that you like, it sounds as though you have quite a specific set of requirements?
