Downdraft extractor and venting...

Am planning a downdraft extractor for my new extension. Builders were about to pour concrete in the new extension area as I left this morning so slightly panicking that I should have mentioned the ducting Shock ! Has anyone a downdraft island extractor installed with the motor on the outside of the property and the ducting going out through the floor? I can't quite get my head around it all Confused. Thanks :)

You might find a ceiling extractor might be a better option as they would have poured the concrete by now ! ( unless you have vaulted ceilings ? )
