woodgrain effect floor tiles - good option for kitchen??

Researching all options for new floor for our hallway, kitchen, utility and downstairs loo. Like the look of timber but have been put off laminate due to concerns about water damage.
Just come across these woodgrain tiles which I did not know existed!
Has anyone used them? Do they look good??
Is there any way I can make a tiled floor warmer underfoot other than underfloor heating (not an option due to budget)? Am thinking insulated underlay or something ...

Look up parador flooring..it's amazing. Vinyl that looks and feels like wood. Love ours!

She loves it and says it's very easy to keep looking lovely !

There are some fabulous wood grain tiles out there. So practical and look great I think.

Re your question about making them warmer - we are a no shoes house but I've been surprised at how "uncold" the tiles downstairs have been. I feared it would be cold but we actually can walk about barefooted.

We do have underfloor heating but hardly ever use it.

We have wood effect tiles OP. I love them and everyone goes "Wow!" when they come in the house .

OP - ours are on cement! Our house is built on cement. Initially we tried to take it up so that we could put down gas underfloor heating. We really thought we'd have a problem with cold floors. Anyway it was impossible to take up enough cement so we put electric ufh down and then the tiles.

These were some of the ones that we nearly used. They all looked great and the only reason we didn't go with them was that the rest of the house has wood flooring and I thought we were going over the top with the wood look. (Townhouse so 3 floors)

They're from the Yorkshire Tile Company, but when DH gets in I'll ask him the name of the actual tiles and let you know .

They're called Castle Antic.

We've got these in our bathroom, they look great and people are often surprised it's not real wood.

Do you find them chilly underfoot? Did you use any special underlay?

The ones we have come in three different shades in a pack so there is intentional differentiation when they are laid. I wonder if they'll send you samples of each shade? Have you looked at the 'Wood grain effect" tiles section on the Yorkshire Trading Company as they have a really stunning selection?

I don't find them cold (no underfloor heating) but then I always have flip flops or something on my feet. The dc run around barefoot and have never complained about cold feet.

They are very practical and hard wearing - I love them!

No special underlay either. Are you having a professional tiler fit them?

Margot are the tiles from Yorkshire trading company ceramic or porclein ? I've got a sample of practically every ceramic wood effect tile tons of tiles, walls and floors, world of tiles, etc sell (I have 20 samples on the floor in the dining room) but I'm still not sure. Thanks !

They're ceramic didireally. Sometimes you can get bogged down with too much choice and dither forever. It's hard isn't it?! All I can say is I'm really happy with our floor (hall, kitchen and utility) and I'm glad I went for them, but they were the first and only ones I looked at. I'd probably still be deciding now if I'd looked at more .

OP do some research on ceramic vs porcelain. I believe thath porcelain is recommended for heavy foot areas ie kitchens because it is stronger and more durable, won't scratch etc.

These are the woodgrain tiles I have in my bathroom. Tomorrow the tilers are doing the floor in my new kitchen. They are similar but larger tiles 1200mm x 230mm. I should have some pics for you by the end of the week if you are interested. Where are you based? I got ours in a local independent tile store but they had similar in Howdens.
