Hi all ,
Has anyone recently removed artex ceilings and can advice how much it cost approximately and how it was done ? Was skimming over enought ?
We are buying a propwrty and would like to have them removed as they look bad (in my opinion )
Thank you

ftb882 that seems really expensive. I would get at least one more quote.

I would get a few more quotes. Especially if it's just ceilings you want done and not walls too. The job I just described was whole room including walls and ceiling and a lot of fiddly work making good before plastering, on a square meterage nearly as big as your place.

I've had good results sourcing suppliers off Trustatrader website - I call the three or four top rated in my area and make sure I get at least three quotes, then go with whoever combines sensible price with seeming nice/reliable.

Thank you i have taken a few quotes from mybuilder . One of them told me 1000 for cash payment but no way i am going for that
I got another for 1500 which is probably the one we are going for

Make sure you've seen reviews or references for whoever you hire, and meet them before you accept a quote. Price is one thing but it's really important you can communicate as well. (Voice of bitter experience here.)

We've just been quoted £600 to replaster the stairwell and skim 3 ceilings.
