Prefabricated (timber frame) construction?

Has anyone got experience with using prefabricated structures for an extension? Am thinking of going with a timber-frame solution, because it seems we can pack more insulation into less space that way and that the overall build time will be reduced! But would appreciate hearing from others who have done this!

We used timber frame for extension, it went up quick and we ran all the wiring and (plastic) water pipes through the joists too..
Timber frame, breeze blocks and screed. Inside insulated and two layers of plasterboard (for extra insulation and fire protection)
Ta Dah it was done.
No regrets
