Removing vinyl flooring stuck to a floor.

Any tips? The builders stuck the entire floor down so we've bought an electric multi tool and a scraper attachment.

We've been heating it & scraping it off bit by bit but after that we've got to get the adhesive off the concrete.

There are products you can buy that help remove the glue - it's terrible stuff to chip off.

Do you have to get all the bits of glue off? What is the plan for the floor? Why not just use some self levelling compound over the top once the vinyl is up?

I think we've got to get the glue off or the green primer won't stick to the concrete.

I will never use vinyl flooring again as long as I live.

We found a wallpaper steam stripper helped, it softened the glue.
