A12 noise - Leytonstone

I wondered if some of you may be able to share their experience of living in E11. We're looking at buying a house in the area, and viewed one today on Pearcroft road. When in the garden, I was quite surprised at the noise level coming from the A12 - I'm worried this will not be bearable, considering in particular that today being a Sunday, it may have been quieter than usual. Is anyone living nearby / in close-by streets able to comment? How noisy does the road get? I've tried to find online if the council has / is planning to put noise reduction panels, but didn't find anything.

I doubt the council are planning to do anything. I deliberately choose a house a bit further from the station to be further from the A12.

Thanks, ftm123. I've also read that planes from London city will go over Leyton so noise might definitely be part of the deal if we buy there.
