We are currently renovating a Victorian house, and need to choose flooring for the downstairs (having carpet on stairs and in bedrooms) We have three dogs, who are not always reliable (IYKWIM!). I would like either hard floor throughout, including kitchen, utility and shower room, OR carpet in two reception rooms, and hard floor throughout the rest of the downstairs. I am looking for something elegant to match the house, but practical for the dogs and kitchen/shower room. Any recommendations gratefully received.
