Buying next to a wedding venue

We've seen a house, it's not perfect inside but the outside is beautiful countryside quiet. However, we just found out it's next to a wedding venue (about 500 yards away) that houses 200 guests in a marquee - would buying this house be a stupid idea?

Yes.

Parking & noise.

You could do B&B. Smile

Can you find out what kind of licence they have? If it's an early one then yes I would. If it's 2am then no - no peace on any Saturday for 10 months of the year!

If you go for it then you could think about putting your spare rooms on airb&b and making some cash out of it

licences can always be changed, and often places want to do just that. If loud noise every Saturday or more until the small hours is a problem, don't buy.

Thank you - much appreciated Smile
