Dare I respray this ££ brand new light fitting? (pic)

I recently bought this ££ light fitting to go in a new bedroom which also has a large gold mirror in it. The gold of the mirror & the light are quite different & as one hangs close to the other I think it'll look odd. I can exactly match the gold of the mirror in spray paint. I'm quite good at diy. Dare I spray this beautiful light fitting so it goes? As it stands the two look odd together. I can't find any other light fittings I like to exchange it. Wwyd?

Personally I wouldn't paint the light fitting. Could you get some brass leaf sheets and apply some brass leaf to the mirror frame - doesn't have to be all over - so that both have the brass colour on them?

No! Looks beautiful and I think things don't have to be matchy matchy- make sure you have other accessories in varied gold and it won't show at all. Lovely light.
