We've moved into an almost new house and I am staggered that there is no water softening system in a very hard water area!! Anyway, such it is and we need to address this quickly as our skin is falling off as we speak. Fitting one post build is actually a nightmare, not impossible, but they've put the incoming main in a really weird place, so location of the unit, access etc will mean a lot of adjustments and redoing what has already been done.
So, we got to thinking about one of these electronic descaling systems, that are supposed to break up the scale before it forms. I have seen one called Eddy Electronic, one called Little Plumber and there are others.
Does anyone have any experience please, as the reviews seem to be very polarised on their effectiveness. Thanks
