Best way to limewash floor?

We've just put a load of effort into sanding our bedroom floorboards (Edwardian original) with a plan of lime washing and waxing them to give a bleached look (not whitewashed or painted).

Has anyone lime washed their floorboards? What's the best method? Any hints appreciated.

Looking for Limewash suitable for floorboards or the best way to do this and we've found a "Liming Wax" will this do the job? Concerned at cost and whether the floor would be a slip hazard?

I lime waxed sone stripped pine furniture years ago and it looked lovely - you still get the grain of the wood through. One you've like waxed you can use a floor wax over the top to protect everything.
