Moving Surrey- Whitton

I have lived in Cheam for several years and it's generally considered to be a very desirable area. I need to move to Whitton for family reasons but I am quite surprised at prices around there when I compare to Cheam/ South Sutton and I'm wondering why that is because it doesn't seem as nice to me as its a bit more congested. Anyone have any ideas?

is it a bit nearer to London or have better transport links?

Not really. The fast trains take about 30 mins into London, which is the same time as a train from Ewell West (the are next to Cheam which is slightly cheaper I think)
