Voyeuristic London flat thread

I have no desire to live in London, or in a teeny tiny flat, but I just love looking at them on Rightmove. and saying 'how much' a lot.

Beautiful front door, tiny flat

The space inside the fireplace seems bigger than the rest of the flat here

I love the optimistic place setting for two. I don't think two people could fit in here

The prize for the smallest flat goes to..........

I actually love this one. It's only £1.2 million

Amazing! The top one is miles better than the rest - very hotel chic!!

PennyHasNoSurname · 19/02/2016 21:29

Oh gosh yes that 1.2mil one is amazing! Love the use of space and the ceiling height

Pipbin · 19/02/2016 21:31

Different pictures of the £1.2 mil one

Cute flat but where do you sleep?

Interesting wine and bike storage

This boasts 'ample space to dine' and a study

That last one in Jubilee Place is lovely, and with £350 of stud walls, would be a big proper 1 bed flat. Possibly even 2 if you had a clever layout

That Hendon one though. Wtf..?

I've clearly lived in London too long because I'm not Shock at the price of the Cheslea ones...

Pipbin · 19/02/2016 22:08

I love the last one Spare.

The £1.2 million one is beautiful, and quite cleverly done.

The place setting for 2 one is really awful.

Quodlibet · 19/02/2016 22:13

Look again at that Jubilee place one and I think perhaps it's a normal-size room with very very tiny furniture in?

Seriously though, it has the floor area of my 2 bed maisonette...

sparechange · 19/02/2016 22:14

If you go 1.5 miles south of that flat, you could get a 4 bed house for the same money.
The difference a stretch of river makes!

Wow. I will never complain about local house prices again. £825k for a room and toilet, that's f*cking insane.

StepAwayFromTheThesaurus · 19/02/2016 22:16

The layout in the one with the study makes no sense. Surely it would be better to have one big room (studio + study) at the front with the kitchen at one end, and then have an actual bedroom with a bathroom off it.

StepAwayFromTheThesaurus · 19/02/2016 22:18

Sorry the scuzzy looking unfurnished one with a study.

Not the very swanky jubilee place one (that yes, could presumably be made into a 1 or 2 bed flat).

sparechange · 19/02/2016 22:19

Within a mile of Jubilee place:
admittedly on a busy road but massive garden

granted needs a refurb

Pipbin · 19/02/2016 22:19

Nothing about the one with the study makes sense.

tribpot · 19/02/2016 22:21

I love this one. Rightmove helpfully calculates for me that the mortgage would be 30 grand. A month.

StepAwayFromTheThesaurus · 19/02/2016 22:24

Does that house need a refurb? It looks nice enough to me. It's not as nicely done as the 4 bed flat, but it's a whole house.

IShouldBeSoLurky · 19/02/2016 22:26

I also looked at the Chelsea ones and thought, "Gosh, that's actually a bargain!"

PMSL at "communal garden" in the NW4 one.

tribpot · 19/02/2016 22:28

I love the interesting wine and bike storage (and actually know someone who used to live in a flat just about that size, with a bedroom in a 'mezzanine') but the blurb said "ideal for professionals" and I broke out in hives trying to imagine living in such a tiny space with someone else.

Pipbin · 19/02/2016 22:30

I love that Trib I'll go halves with you.

I agree Step I don't see the need for a refurb there.

Less convinced by the bike storage. You'd have dog poo crumbs trickling down on your head.

Pipbin · 19/02/2016 22:32

Which one was the Chelsea one?
