I read the lessons learned thread, but fear I may not have learned all the lessons! Can you wise kitchen experts tell me everything that is wrong with this? Also can't decide on a splash back...

I think you will wish you had more space between the hob and the sink. It is where you are likely to end up wanting to do much of your food preparation.

Not commenting on the aesthetics - just the practical ...
Some notes ...

DW between sink and hob isn't always a good idea as you need a clear walkway with heavy pot that needs draining. You could trip if the DW is open .

You need 75cm clearance between gas hob and the cooker hood ( shouldn't really be just a cupboard above - unless it's to house the cooker hood)

If you have taken out an extractor you have to replace it with one at least as good - ie don't replace an extracting one with a recirculated one .

FF next to tall oven is ok but if you are right handed it [FF]should be hinged on the left so you open with left and and select the milk with your more dextrous right hand . ( or vice versa if you are left handed ) in this instance doing it left hand hinged will also protect the fridge from being engulfed with warm air from when you grill of have oven open too .

Having the drawers under hob only, means you will need to keep stepping away from the hob every time you want to open a drawer - suggest you have further drawers elsewhere too .

Do you have a plan you could post ?

Hope that helps! Smile
