Flooring around fireplace hearth to avoid an unsightly gap

Advice please on installing floorboards up to a granite fireplace hearth. How do people do this without putting in unsightly beading to cover the gap between the floor and the hearth? Any suggestions for best way to fill the gap. The granite is black. TIA

We did it with L profile shaped edging. One side tucked between the edge of the hearth and the other side overlapped the rough side of the boards.
You could stain it to blend in with the granite or boards.

Won't your hearthstone be boxed and lipped? How big an expansion gap do you need? Usually the lip is enough to hide it.
