Electrical socket in the bathroom?

Would love to be able to dry and straighten my hair and plug in an electric razor.

I don't know how to do it!

Would an electrician be what I need (sorry if that's an obvious question) and has anyone done this before?

I dry my hair in the bedroom, while sitting down at the dressing table. I can't think of anything worse that trying to do hair and make up in the bathroom.

You can have electric sockets in a bathroom in the UK :)
but... they have to be at least 3m from bath or shower - so you need a large bathroom... (think of all those swanky hotel rooms with a bath in the bedroom!)

this is a useful explanation of zones and requirements...

most people will not have a bathroom large enough - some might!

Mine are less than 3m away but very much out of reach - they're inside the cupboard, on the panel behind the towel shelves (iyswim) - so OK by zone according to my electrician
