We are thinking of moving to Manchester for a few years for family reasons. We would like to buy a flat in central Manchester. The property market seems really buoyant there at the moment, but they are building a hell of a lot of (frankly quite ugly) massive new blocks of flat (as well as developing some of the existing buildings). I'm a little worried about supply eventually surpassing demand and, especially if there is a blip in the economy, eventually finding ourselves with a property that has devalued or is difficult to shift. Any opinions?
