we have hideous aluminium windows which I have never been able to afford to replace.
I need to get the house repainted, scaffolding Job, some sills rotten. So Ms s the time to take a deep breath and replace the windows. House Edwardian, would have had wooden casement windows. Only about two if our neighbours have kept them, most have gone for plastic.
I don't like plastic but... I loathe repainting and it's a nightmare as the house is three stories armies with small side alley
If I go for wood will it repay the investment?
Should I go fir wood on the ground floor, easy yo reps in, and plastic elsewhere?
Wood front , plastic back?
All plastic?
No intention to sell atm but might want to let in 5 years.
