When do most ppl sell?

We have been looking in our preferred area since the start of the year and not much is coming up. There are a few overpriced properties that have been on the market for several months. Before Xmas around Oct/Nov there were a few decent properties but we weren't in a position that buy then. I'm wondering if the market tends to pick up as weather gets better?

i am in the same position. 2 local estate agents have told me that they are really struggling for new instructions. we put an offer in n a house in sept but it all fell through. when we were looking back then we viewed at least 8 properties and there were quite a few more in our search area that met out criteria. now there is not one
