Wipeable Paint Help!

Twinklefuck · 06/02/2016 10:48

I'm half way through the downstairs in Matt emulsion but will definitely need something I can wipe clean.

I can't find 'just walnut' in any wipeable form online, anyone know if I can go get it mixed in b&q? Really don't want to have to change the colour! Tia!

Dulux paint colours can be mixed up in the different finishes they offer (eg. satinwood) if just walnut is one of theirs.

Dulux Endurance, I think it's called, is matt and very wipeable.

80sMum · 06/02/2016 21:26

No, don't use Endurance. Go for trade paint, it's far superior to retail paint ime. Try Dulux Trade Diamond Matt. You can have it mixed to any Dulux colour. It's scrubbable.

B&Q now mix up Valspar paint. The standard paint is rubbish but the premium is brilliant and it's super scrubable. They can select any Dulux shade on there mixing machine for you aswell. Hth

I've never tried Valspar. Who makes it?

booksandchoc · 06/02/2016 21:31

Its made by Valspar. It's an American brand that came into B&Q about 2 years ago. It used to be really popular here a lot of years ago seemingly

Twinklefuck · 06/02/2016 22:21

Thank you! Will valspar premium be ok as just one coat? I've done two coats of standard dulux Matt so colour wise we're there.

Quite right, 80s Mum. It's the Trade diamond Matt I have and it's very hard-wearing.

BikeRunSki · 07/02/2016 07:46

Valspar Superior from b&q, they can match any colour.

EarSlaps · 07/02/2016 07:57

Yes valspar premium paint is brilliant. Our decorator was really impressed with how it went on and I could scrub it clean (was in our old kitchen).

Another vote for Valspar. Go for the eggshell. My husband is a decorator and it's all he will use. Apparently covers really well
