What would you say is a decent shower size?

Longish, narrow ensuite planned. Toilet one end, sink in middle, shower at the other end. Width is 90cm, can't change that.

Would a shower enclosure 90cm x 80cm feel big enough? Or would you go 90cm x 90cm, or even 90cm x 1000cm? Just really for H and I, both distinctly average height / build Smile

Last had a shower enclosure about 10 years ago in a house (and can't remember dimensions), always been over bath since and can't work out what will feel OK.

Thank you.

Ours is 80x100 and is fine. I'd say an extra ten cm would be really nice though.

Thank you :-)

I would go as big as you can really. In our new house, we have one that is 760*760mm and I blimming hate it, it's like showering in a telephone box. I'm tiny too. If it was at least 900 in one direction, it would be bearable. I'm replacing it with a 1400×800 when we get round to sorting the bathrooms.

We now have the luxury of a 1200 by 900. I love it!!! Def go as big as you can, you won't regret it.

I don't think we can go as big as 1200 unless the loo would fit in there aswell Grin.

Ours is 900x760 and is big enough. But that was the biggest we could squeeze in. Bigger is always better when it comes to showers imo. That said, bigger also means more bastard surface area of shower door/screen to keep clean Angry

Overuse of "big" Blush

HereIAm20 · 01/02/2016 15:24

Our new one is 1400 x 900 - I win! Grin

As I said upthread, 1200 would mean loo in the shower. 1400 would be loo and sink in the shower!!

If we can get 900 x 900 I'm hoping that would be ok.

900 x 900 will still be a decent size square one. My large husband can stand elbows akimbo in the 900 side without touching.

HereIAm20 · 01/02/2016 16:51

PS loo and sink in the shower equals wet room

SmallGreenBouncyBall · 01/02/2016 16:54

one where I don't get a cold bottom when I have to pick up slippery soap from the floor. so at least 90x90 preferably larger

Thank you all Smile
