House alarms - whats best?

Hi looking for advice on alarms. We want a deterrent to potential breaking really, not a back to base / police contract one.
Hopefully wireless with mobile connection so I can turn it on if i've forgotten.

Any one with recent experience ?

do you mean "best" or do you mean "good value within a budget of £x?"

Hi Piglet John. Yes 'best' is a bit vague.

I mean, easy to use, good features without being over the top, latest technology.

I see there are ones such as canary, nest, ismartalarm .... or do you go for the old tradition adt type system?

When I was looking for a deterrent alarm that make basically a massive amount of noise I found that a local independent came in cheapest. We got more sensors for less money than the big companies and boy is it loud when it goes off.
