Kitchen planning help

I need to replace my kitchen. It is 5.25 x 3.6 m ish and although we have a dining room, I'd like the option of eating in the kitchen. Would I be able to practically fit an island win- it would have 1m clear around 3 of the sides? (More space around 4th side). Is this workable? Thanks for any thoughts!

could you not have a breakfast bar on any side? or did you want a proper sit at a table type arrangement..

That's big enough to have a table I'd have thought, not sure about an island

Just having ours redesigned. The different designers have all said they would look for a minimum of 90cm clearance so yours definitely sounds do-able!

Thank you all! Think we'll go for an island!!

Are you thinking of having seats around the island for eating?

If so I think it would look a bit cluttered.

A freestanding island with no chairs would look ok with just 1m around it though.

It might be worth going to somewhere like B&Q or Howdens as they do pretty good kitchen designs/ plans which will give you a better idea.

We'll have chairs around 3 of the sides. Hopefully, it should be ok!
