Oh dear, I've bleached my wood floor

I meant to do it, it's engineered wood and the previous owners had gouged a big patch into it that had gone into the mdf below, which had then gone black (they weren't exactly cleaning enthusiasts).

So, I used wood bleach thinking I'd take the black bit up to the shade of the surrounding area (maple, I think), but got a bit carried away and now I have a white patch. What's an effective cheap solution to put the wood colour back in?

It doesn't have to be perfect, there are lots of scratches in the floor anyway, but the white patch is a bit much.

Try some permanent felt tip markers. I always used them when I splashed bleach on clothes. Grin

Try Colron wood dye. It comes in various different shades and you just use a cloth to put it on.

Sorry, just seen this. Thanks for the tips, I suspect the wood dye might work out slightly better than raiding DD's felt tips... Grin
