Improving limited lift space

My problem is the hall is not big enough for the fixed pull down ladders but I would like something to make it easier access and wee can't do a full room conversion as the roof isn't high enough. Basically all I want is to be able to go up and down to the loft easily and be able to walk around it etc.any ideas??

How are you getting into it now? Tiny spiral staircase? Although this makes moving large things up and down extremely hard.

Well I don't think there is anything much you can do about the head height up there, but you can board it out.
We have small hatches, and have telescopic loft ladders as there isn't the room for proper ones that need to go up into something like 1m of clear space. They are surprisingly robust and very easy to pull down/put back up.

Did you fit them yourself total? Did a joiner do the work?? Hope, we have a set of ladders upstairs which is a pain but there is no space in upper hall at all .
