Velux windows

We are currently having an extension built and one of the rooms looks as if it'll be darker than I'd originally thought it would be. In our plans we have a few velux windows planned, but not in this particular room.
Does anyone know if you need planning permission or do I need to apply for a non material change or is it ok just to add another velux window?

I'd give your local planning office a call and ask their advice. If you have planning permission already then you should be able to speak with the allocated planning officer for your case.

We have wanted to change a few features, including windows, since permission was granted and it is just going to be a simple resubmission of a form and a small fee, but always best to check.
