Worth paying more for in frame kitchen?

We're extending our 3 bed terraced cottage later this year & putting a new kitchen in. I love the in frame style and it would really work well in our old property which is full of character but is it worth paying probably twice the cost of a wooden painted kitchen that isn't in frame? Our house is worth approx 190k & ceiling is 230 with extension.. We hope to live in it for 5 yrs minimum. Would in frame add value or be a waste?

We got an in frame kitchen, wouldn't get one again , the frame means less drawer space or as the frame takes up the space, also putting some of the bigger stuff is a pain as the frame gets in the way. The in frame kitchen is visually nicer though

No I wouldn't pay a premium for an in frame kitchen. But it's your house and you have to live there in 5 years. Kitchen "trends" might be completely different in 5 years and chances are someone will probably want a new kitchen anyway. So just bear that in mind.

Only go for it if you like the look enough for its own sake. Assume it won't add a penny to the value.

I think it wouldn't occur to many buyers (me included) that it would be as much as double the price. Even if they loved the styling (which they may not today, let alone in 5+ years), I would guess most wouldn't pay any significant premium for it.
