Joint Planning Application

Is there any reason I shouldn't do a joint planning app with my neighbour? We're north London terrace so there would be benefits (bigger footprint of extension) but I just wondered if there was anything we needed to be aware of?

Our neighbours did this - joint application, same builder and it all seemed to work brilliantly. Big cost savings too.

We didn't do joint planning but did the extensions within weeks of each other - same builder. It worked well.

You have to get on though and the builder has to be good.
