Made to measure fire doors

We are currently doing a loft conversion and replacing the doors with fire doors but being a Victorian house we have some strange door sizes. Has anyone used a made to measure door company for 4 panel fire doors they would recommend?

Where are you? I can recommend someone in Essex who made our front doors.

no, but doors are available in a wider range of sizes than you might think. I quite like the panelled Premdor. What sizes do you need?

I would expect that the BCO will demand doors made in accredited fire-door factory, and identified by the approved markings.

They might make them to order in weird sizes, never asked.

All the standard sizes needed to be trimmed far over the 6mm allowed to keep the fire door gaurentee.

I see they mention special sizes are made to order.

807mm (but it tapers down to 797 at the bottom on one side)X 1982mm and 761mm X 1912mm

I used Easy Door Store recently, they take the exact measurements and deliver within 2 weeks. Really happy with the doors but they have a sort of uPVC covering which the joiner said was a pain in the arse when he was hanging them! They've got a 35% off sale at the moment as well.

I looked at the easy door store but was put off by the pvc covering and as you can't paint them.

Are the door linings (frames) of historical interest, or could they be altered/replaced? Linings are cheaper than doors.

The lining of the shorter has been replaced but it can't be made higher without replacing the wooden lintel with new one about 8 higher which would mean taking a large chunk of wall down. Similarly issues in we increasei g the height of the other door to keep the width as otherwise we won't get out sofas back out of the house!
