Sink in a wooden work surface

So I'd like a wooden work surface in the kitchen. So I think that means I probably need a sink with a draining board (else the wood will mark where things get drained). I'm not excited about stainless steel - is white naff ? Or I could do a wooden surface on the island and something more practical on the run with the sink, but I don't know what I'd choose (not a granite or marble fan).

Any thoughts ?

We have solid oak wortops and a white butler sink.

No draining boards, don't like them.

DickDewey what do you do with things that need to drain and dry after washing ? I really fancied an enormous butler sink (two big sinks and a little one) but wasn't sure about no draining board. I guess I could get a rack that balances over one if the sinks but in practise that sounds like a faff.

Ooh. I could do a drying rack mounted above the sink....
