3cm thick granite upstands. Is this erm 'normal'??

Just that really. Will this look right? Fitter says 2cm will look a slightly different shade of black to the worktops and won't do it....What's your experience?

Just measured our up stand thickness and its two cm not three. Looks normal to me but out granite is pale - not sure if that makes a difference.

I'd like 2cm really. 3cm gives a few mm between the hob. Not enough to clean easily, and just enough to look odd...
