Zombie's door has a 5 lever mortice lock. This morning when going to re-lock the door, the key jammed. It is well and truly jammed.

Locksmith or any other suggestions?

what make is the lock? How old?

Will the key go in and out freely?

Have you got an angle-grinder?

Zombie's neighbour (a former builder) came down and had a look. He confirmed it was a locksmith job.

Old lock was an ERA Endurance Sash Lock. Probably 15 years old. Key was stuck at 90 degree angle so no movement possible.

Locksmith has just left. Zombie thinks this should count as her second successful keyhole surgery in 13 days. She hopes her surgeon earned as much from the NHS as the locksmith did from her.
