Considerations for extension

Pp has been submitted, fingers crossed. We're going for 2 storeys, consisting of extended kitchen plus utility room and loo then upStairs a bedroom with ensuite.

We're not experienced at all so would really appreciate any tips, anything at all - flooring, lighting, sockets, stuff we won't have thought of...!

we've completed a loft conversion.

definitely have an idea at the planning stage of where big furniture items will go and what space you have when doors are opened.

our loft bedroom door is in the middle of the room, so i have 20cm to walk up the side of the bed when the door is fully open.
