We recently for a second hand kitchen. The units are off white/cream shaker style. The worktops are black granite.

As lovely as this kitchen is, if I was buying one from scratch it wouldn't been the colours I'd choose. For that reason, I'm struggling to envision which tiles would work. The granite has a small upstand but I think I'd like to fill in the gaps between the upstand and the wall units with some type of tile.

Has anyone got any suggestions on a tile that would work? I would prefer something light. In the next post, I'll attach a pic of a look I've found online which I like, but I'm not sure if the white tile would work with a creamish unit!

Would you consider a glass splash back? This picture is v similar to my kitchen. I prefer the cleaner look of the glass.
