Accent colours in the hallway

Hi, we've nearly finished a house renovation. I've used a lot of colour in the house, but in the advice of lots of people, I've left the hallway pure white as it's a bit gloomy. Trouble is, I can't help feeling it's a bit plain. Would it be crazy to paint one small wall on each floor a strong colour to break it up? I'm not thinking the really big walls, but a smaller one. Or would it look a bit eccentric?

I had a friend visiting last night who was suggesting that very thing to me .She's done several houses for sale .

Could work well .

It would look great. Then put a mirror on that wall so it reflects the white from the facing wall.

Thanks, that's good advice! Now to decide which colours. There's a distinct colour palette on each floor - ground is dark blue, sunshine yellow, white and grey. First floor is grey, white, blue- green and coral. Loft is light green, dark green and white. Pick one colour to use on as the accent walls, or select a different colour for each floor?
