Fitted wardrobe suppliers???

Can anyone recommend a company who does fitted wardrobes, either nationally or in the South East?

We have a sloping ceiling so can't just buy an Ikea Pax or similar

Or are there any to avoid?

Lamco in Poole are excellent - not sure how far East they go ?!?

We're just the other side of Brighton so possibly too far but will ask

Trying to find out about Sliderobes too if anyone has used them before?

We had Sharps years ago. They did a fab job with sloping ceilings and the units are still going strong.

Oh that's good to hear, I've heard such mixed reviews of sharps!

May book them in for a design visit too

We used Spacemaker who are based in Basildon, they did a great job. I have so much room. Mine have sloped sides too & they are made beautifully symmetrically!

Thank you for the recommendation, will drop them an email Smile

We have recently ordered fitted wardrobes. We had a design consultation from Sharps even with supposed discounts gave a very high quote. Not much choice, a lot of laminate not much real wood.
In the end we went with Crown, who did our kitchen & we are happy with. Was a painted wood number, much more selection & better quality finish & I think marginally cheaper.
Crown are sold in local franchises nationwide. Local company can fit. They did a good job with the kitchen, so just hoping will be the same experience with the wardrobes.

We've had three rooms fitted by Hammonds. We've been very happy - much less "salesy" than other big chains and good deals available too

Also worth considering independant carpenters. We found a brilliant carpenter on Checkatrade who fitted in a lovely wardrobe and dressing table in dds bedroom.

Will look at Crown and Hammonds, thank you both

I've emailed more than 10 local companies and had no responses (have checked my junk folder daily to make sure they've not ended up there) which is a shame as I generally like to use small local companies wherever possible
