I've never sold a house before. Hoping for some info from seasoned pros on here please Grin

Last time a surveyor came to us, he was very polite and said nothing whatsoever about his findings. I asked if he needed my help but he said he'd ask if he did and literally had a couple of questions about loft access and dates of replacement windows.

Ok excellent thanks. It feels a bit like the days when people came to view the house for buying and I have the urge to tidy and clean up before he comes! I suppose I should be tidy anyway though Smile domestic goddess I am not!

he works for the buyer, not you so beyond an offer of a cup of tea, just say you are happy to answer any questions and leave him to it. The survey is supposedly confidential between him and the buyer.

ideally he will go in the loft, look behind furniture and so on, and also quiz you about house history. Your buyers will be lucky if any of these things happen...

Thank you. It's all done now and I wasn't there but by all accounts it went well! Fingers crossed...
